Medical Humanities Peer Advisor

Hi everyone! My name is Barbod, and I’m a junior studying biology and psychology on the pre-med track. I first became exposed to Medical Humanities when I took Anthro120H with Dr. Laura Wittman in Winter 2025. I’m passionate about decreasing the corporatization plaguing the American healthcare system, as well as engaging with patient and physician narratives. I founded the Stanford Undergraduate Medical Humanities Book Club to create a space for fellow students with diverse sets of perspectives to engage with these stories, and to invite more students into the Medical Humanities. I’m so excited to meet and work with you all!
